Alaska Airlines and Portland Timbers Announce Jersey Sponsorship Renewal

Alaska-Airlines-300x200The Portland Timbers today announced the club has renewed its jersey sponsorship with Alaska Airlines. As part of the multiyear partnership, the iconic Northwest airline’s wordmark will continue to be prominently featured on Timbers’ game kits and club apparel.

 

In addition to being featured on Timbers jerseys, Alaska Airlines will continue to serve as the team’s official airline. Alaska Airlines, a Founding Partner of the Timbers, has been the club’s jersey partner since its inaugural 2011 MLS season.

Stansted urges public to have their say on Airport’s future growth

Stansted-Airport-300x140Stansted Airport is reminding local residents, businesses and community groups they have just four more weeks to have their say on its Draft Sustainable Development Plan.

 

The 10 week consultation runs until November 7 and sets out how the airport will develop to make use of the existing capacity of its single runway. The plan establishes a framework for responsible and sustainable growth at Stansted, and demonstrates the airport’s ability to grow to handle 40-45 million passengers a year within agreed environmental limits and without the need for additional airport land.

JetBlue Appoints Keith Slotter Vice President, Security

Slotter joins JetBlue this week and will oversee all aspects of corporate security at JetBlue including security risk management, investigations, TSA regulatory compliance and all other security support services. He will report to Warren Christie, JetBlue’s Senior Vice President Regulatory & Training.

 

Slotter most recently served as head of staff security for Bridgewater Associates in Westport, Conn., the world’s largest hedge fund, and as a vice president with Stroz Friedberg’s business intelligence and investigations division in Washington.

Etihad Airways Revenue Increases 29 PerCent In Q3 2014, Following Accelerated Passenger And Cargo Growth

Etihad-Airways-300x142Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, today reported total revenues of US$1.8 billion for the third quarter of 2014, an impressive increase of 29 per cent year-on-year, achieved on the back of accelerated passenger and cargo growth during the summer.

 

A total of 3.9 million passengers travelled with Etihad Airways between July and September this year, 30 per cent higher than the three million passengers from the same period in 2013. Etihad Cargo also outperformed the global market, carrying 144,498 tonnes of freight and mail during the third quarter, a year-on-year increase of nine per cent, on only one per cent capacity growth.

United Debuts New Perks for Top Flyers in San Francisco

The airline will open a new reception lobby for members of its invitation-only Global Services program and a new check-in area for Premier members of its MileagePlus loyalty program.

Performing Arts Representatives meet Seychelles Minister responsible for Culture & National Arts Council

Ralph Amesbury was accompanied at the meeting at the Ministry of Tourism and Culture ESPACE Offices by Berno Cedras and Patel Esparon.

 

The meeting was an opportunity for the Performing Arts Association to table the challenges they face in the consolidation of their industry.
